Sometimes I think we might forget to ask questions about their hobbies and this can be valuable information. I personally think matching hobbies isn't that important as the information the hobbies gives us. If you are interested in a full and busy life then you might just want to avoid users that don't do much past work and watch TV. When on an internet dating service take the time to ask these questions and I assure you it will give a glimpse of who the person is.

The other interesting part is that the hobbies can also give you an indication of how competitive they might be. For some this type of competitiveness is not always wanted so again finding someone that does the same things as you isn't always that important rather than the information the hobbies will give to us!
